After taking PGX, is it possible to still be hungry?
Sure. It is possible to still feel hungry after taking PGX. It’s a gentle-acting plant fiber complex that works gradually to reprogram your neurological response to food. For emotional eaters, additional counseling and support may be necessary.
-
How do I know PGX is working?
When taking the recommended dosage of 7.5 -15 grams of PGX per day, (2.5 – 5 grams 3 times per day – Note, PGX Meal Replacement Drink mix contains 4 – 5 g of PGX and PGX SatisFastTM drink mix contains 2.5 g of PGX) you should begin to see a decrease in appetite and cravings.
-
How does PGX control cravings?
Cravings are a direct result of blood sugar imbalance. PGX controls the release of sugars into the bloodstream, slowing digestion and creating a feeling of satiation.
-
I’ve tried other diets. How is PGX different?
Unlike other supplements, PGX is designed to “treat the cause, not the illness”. PGX and the PGX Programs will not only help you lose weight but help you maintain a healthier weight. And while doing so, PGX will provide you with the added benefits of living a healthier life.
-
Does PGX have side effects?
As your body acclimates to PGX, it’s possible to experience some intestinal discomfort. We recommend incrementally increasing the dosage as explained here, and drinking a large glass of water with each dose.
-
Can I take PGX if I’m on medication(s)?
Consult your healthcare practitioner. PGX can affect the absorption of medication into your bloodstream. We recommend taking your oral medicine at least 1 hour before or 2-3 hours after consuming PGX. This information should not be taken as medical advice or substituted for it.
-
Can I take PGX with other supplements?
Yes. PGX can be taken in combination with other supplements, such as essential fatty acids (EFAs) and multivitamins & minerals.
-
Does PGX contain gluten?
No.
-
The PGX Capsules are awfully big, can I cut them in half and just use the insides instead?
If you find the softgels to be too big, please don’t cut the softgels in half as the softgels contain an oily substance called medium chain triglycerides (MCTs). MCTs help increase metabolism and may help improve blood-glucose control. Also, cutting the softgel open could potentially be a choking hazard so it’s best to not use the softgels if you find them uncomfortable to swallow whole; you may wish to try PGX granulesas an alternative. PGX granules are very convenient to pour into a blender with other smoothie ingredients or to thicken sauces or add to baking. The PGX granules still retain all other benefits, including supplying highest viscosity fiber for the intestinal tract, providing a greater feeling of fullness.
-
Where can I buy PGX?
PGX can be purchased online or at pharmacies, grocery stores and health food stores across Canada and in the US, and through health care professionals and natural dispensaries.

PGX (PolyGlycopleX®) is a patented super fibre complex made up of natural, highly viscous polysaccharides. When taken with meals, PGX expands in the stomach over a 30-minute (or longer) timeframe. This process creates a feeling of fullness by absorbing water and filling the stomach while slowing digestion. This slows the absorption of carbohydrates, effectively lowering the glycemic index of the food.
By slowing the release of glucose into the bloodstream, PGX levels out the peaks and crashes of the unhealthy blood sugar roller coaster. This helps you feel full longer, reduces food cravings and unhealthy between-meal snacking.
The patented super fibre complex in PGX can bind several hundred times its weight in water and stomach fluids, far more than other soluble fibres like psyllium or oat beta-glucan. PGX is backed by over 10 years of research and development along with extensive pre-clinical studies and clinical trials conducted in the United States, France, and Germany. PGX is 100% natural and non-addictive and safe for consumption, with no serious side effects.
