It's true! Healthy and cookie can appear in the same sentence!

Satisfy your sweet tooth with this tasty and actually healthy cookie recipe from The Skinny Fork!

You an give in to your inner cookie monster without regret. It is completely possible! I know it seems rather oxymoronic to think of cookies as healthy but it's a fabulous thing to think of and know to be real. What it is really that makes cookies so unhealthy? Tons of sugar, oil, white flour, butter... all things that can actually be replaced!

The Skinny Fork recipe for Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies does just that: food substitution! For example, instead of butter or oil, you'll find this recipe calls for apple sauce!

Try this recipe and add a dash of PGX Daily Singles for an even healthier treat and that extra fibre kick!

So without further ado, click to view the Skinny Fork recipe for Healthy Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies (it has some chocolate in it too!).

Peanut Butter Crunch Cookie Time!

Celebrate peanut butter and this fabulous day with PGX and a delicious recipe!

Happy National Peanut Butter Day! Yes. It's true. It's National Peanut Butter Day and to celebrate this I've found a healthy and delicious peanut butter recipe! But first, a few facts about peanut butter!

Peanuts are native to the tropics of the Americas and were first mashed into a paste by the Aztecs hundreds of years ago. Over time the paste developed into the creamier peanut spreads we buy today.

In 1884, a patent was issued to Montreal native, Marcellus Gilmore Edson, for the finished product of the process of milling roasted peanuts between heated surfaces until they reached a semi-fluid state - the initial steps to making our modern peanut butter. It's hard to say for sure who invented peanut butter but suffice it to say, it was a group effort between the Aztecs, Edson, George Washington Carver (often credited) and Dr. Ambrose Straub and his peanut butter making machine!

And now, on to that recipe! Taste of Home's Peanut Butter Crunch Cookies are quick, easy to make and are only 56 calories and diabetic friendly!

Who would have thought a cookie could be all that?! One downside to this cookie is its trace amount of fiber. Add PGX into the mix and you've got an even healthier, "fiberful" treat!

Enjoy!

Sprucing up a snack time favourite: apples with peanut butter!

Williams-Sonoma shares a lovely little recipe that will give your apples and peanut butter a whole new gourmet look!

Fresh, crunchy, cold apples are great for a healthy snack. But sometimes, they need a touch of... something, to make them interesting again. Apples and cinnamon? Done that. Apples for chocolate fondue? Great but not so healthy and a hassle to make all the time. Apples with brown sugar? Best inside a pie. Apples with cheese? Good but not the taste I'm craving. So what's on the menu for me? Apples with peanut butter! I get funny looks from my family when I'm enjoying this strangely delicious combination but it really is extremely tasty.

And now, Williams-Sonoma has fancied it up for all 'apple and peanut butter' lovers with this extremely simple but delectable recipe! If you're not a fan of raisins, don't be afraid to experiment and try something else. Dried figs perhaps? Enjoy!
