Julia Havey is loving super fruit and she's sharing with PGX!

Look…up in the sky…it’s a bird, it’s a plane…it’s Super Fruit!

Not all fruits and vegetables are created equal. There are some that offer nutritional value far beyond our usual supermarket buys. How far beyond? Well super fruits provide concentrated amounts of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that bodies need with fewer calories. Many super fruits, including the acai berry, goji berry, noni berry, Mangosteen fruit, sea buckthorn berry and cacao, are generally grown abroad and are most readily available to consumers in the form of juices, chews, vitamins and supplements.

According to sought-after celebrity nutritionist Dr. Lindsey Duncan, ND, CN, (her clients include Courtney Cox, Marc Jacobs and Demi Moore), "A diet that combines super fruits like the acai berry and goji berry with readily available fresh produce like spinach, blackberries and sweet potatoes will help fight the damage in our bodies and lead us to optimum vitality."

Another benefit of consuming more fruits and vegetables is that you also consume more fiber. It has been said that early man consumed over 100 grams of fiber a day and studies have shown that those living today in the African Bush eat close to 500 grams of fiber every day. Most of us are lucky if we consume 25 grams of fiber. The lack of fiber in our diets is one of the biggest reasons for our declining health and our increasing rates of obesity and overweight people.

The typical diet is completely void of the vitamins and nutrients that our bodies need and, quite frankly, it is slowly killing all of us. Eating enough fruits, vegetables and other foods high in fiber can prove to be a budget breaker and therefore out of reach for too many individuals and families. A very cost effective way to ensure that you get enough fiber in your diet is to supplement with PGX at every meal.

I have long promoted PGX as a way for people to increase their fiber intake in addition to realizing it’s many other benefits, such as weight loss and balanced blood sugar. According to Dr. Mehmet Oz on a recent show broadcast, there is no better source of fiber on Earth than PGX. So my friends, eat your super fruits and get your daily fiber!

For millions of Americans, maintaining an ideal weight is nothing but a fairy tale. They’ve tried every diet, every magic pill, every “groundbreaking” treatment, only to find themselves disappointed and still overweight. In fact, statistics show us that 98 percent of people who lose weight by dieting end up gaining it back within five years. And 90 percent of those people gain back more weight than they lost.

According to Drs. Michael Lyon and Michael Murray, authors of Hunger Free Forever, the secret to taking off the pounds and keeping them off is actually in the science — specifically, the science of appetite control. Over the next few months, we’ll be divulging their seven secrets for hunger-free weight loss.

Here’s the first one to start you on your journey towards a healthier, skinnier life:

Develop eating strategies for high satiety Developing a strategy that reduces the factors that increase appetite while simultaneously increasing the factors that decrease appetite will go a long way towards achieving the desired results. A common sense approach is to eat in moderation, particularly when consuming high-calorie foods. Some other approaches are to eat regular meals to prevent excessive hunger, and to eat meals that have a sufficient amount of protein and fat, both of which prolong satiety.
