It's Tasty Tuesday and we've got another fabulous recipe for you!

Add some green to your meal with Eat, Live, Run's Caramelized Brussels Sprouts!

These miniature cabbages are jam packed with nutrition. They are high in fibre, protein and sulforaphane, the very same cancer fighting chemical found in broccoli. They are low in fat and, unfortunately, love. Yes, that's right. Brussels sprouts could use some more love, especially when they have so many health benefits to offer in return!

They don't have to be bland, steamed veggies! Try them the Eat, Live, Run way: caramelized and tossed with pecans! If you think you hate Brussels sprouts, this dish looks like it could change your mind.

Summer is coming!

It’s that warm and wonderful time of year when we bare a little more – and it’s the perfect time to pamper ourselves with a refreshing all-natural body scrub!

You can buy body scrubs at the store, or you can make your own for a fraction of the cost, using ingredients you likely already have in your kitchen. Here are three easy, fun body scrub recipes you can make at home!

Homemade Body Scrub Recipes

Beach Body Scrub

This scrumptious scrub, from Martha Stewart, can be made at the beach or at home. In a small jar, add 6 drops of sweet orange and 4 drops of jasmine essential oils to 1 cup coarse sea salt; shake to combine. Then, in a plastic pail, combine the scented salts with 4 tablespoons jojoba, olive, or camellia oil and 2 handfuls very wet sand. After you use the scrub, rinse your body clean in the waves!

Lemon-Brown Sugar Body Scrub

This easy recipe from Organic Authority combines brown sugar, grapeseed oil, and lemon peel to both soften your skin and invigorate your senses.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup coarse brown sugar (to gently exfoliate without drying)

  • 1 cup grapeseed oil (to moisturize)

  • 1/4 cup grated lemon peel (to invigorate your senses)

Directions

  1. Mix together all ingredients.

  2. Gently rub on your body in a circular motion. Concentrate on rough areas like elbows, knees and heels.

  3. Rinse with water.

DIY Scrub Recipe

This do-it-yourself recipe, via Free Beauty Tips, let’s you pick your favorite ingredients to make your own scrub. You can make as much or as little as you like by combining; 2 parts salt or sugar + 1 part beauty oil + essential oil = basic body scrub!

These recipes are great for pampering yourself or put them in a pretty glass jar for a perfect summer gift!
