Fall weather is here and we're thinking about comfort food and PGX!

Is it possible to eat all those yummy comfort foods and stay slim? Yes! And it's easy too.

Well, it looks like fall is fully arrived: overcast skies, shorter days, people dressed up in jackets and scarves, the shower of yellow and oranges leaves... to be followed with actual rain showers I'm sure. I'd love to say no rain but it'll come for sure. What does this weather do to me? I want to hibernate and eat thick, hearty stews and drink hot chocolate and become a couch potato in front of the fire.

Well, enjoy some couch potato time but make sure you get your exercise. As for the comfort food part, I'm happy to say that we don't have to completely avoid it if we want to stay slim! Food Network star, Ellie Krieger's So Easy cookbook has great and healthy recipes for us to enjoy!

How about a spicy and sweet Moroccan Beef Stew? Ward off the cold and get a ton of immune boosting iron with a bowl of this! Enjoy!

And guess what! This dish is full of fibre! With a little PGX you can have a day's worth all in one go!

PGX checks out what the stars did to get Emmy ready.

Another awards show, another parade of fitness and style. But these stars actually do work for their physiques...

Yes. I couldn't resist bringing this topic up today. Last night, along with many many other people I'm sure, I was glued to the television (doing work during commercial breaks) watching the stars parade down TV's red carpet and into the theatre. And who didn't enjoy Jane Lynch's musical antics?!

SELF Magazine has a great slide show of the the stunning stars along with the insider info on their workouts. Want to know what Gwyneth Paltrow does to maintain her slender figure? Looking for a workout to get toned legs like Nina Dobrev? Or maybe you're looking for something a little more rhythm-filled like Sofia Vergara? Personally, I think Sofia's idea of a workout is the best!

Don't be discouraged by the photos of these fit and trim ladies. Just remember: they have to work hard to keep their bodies healthy and in shape, just like you and I. So good health to you all! I'm off to exercise, Sofia Vergara style!

Ciao everyone!

PGX is looking at designing and lifestyle duo, Steven & Chris' investigation of common medical myths!

I'm sure you've heard these medical myths before. It's time we get and share the facts on these...

Does turkey make you sleepy? I crack my knuckles... and back and knees (although they seem to do that a lot on their own) and toes. Does that mean I'm going to be in serious arthritic pain when I'm old? If I eat a ton of carrots everyday can I get my 20/20 vision of pre-glasses years back (how I would love to have perfect vision again!)?

Canada's Steven and Chris decided to set the myths straight and consulted an expert to give us the answers.

PGX is reading about nap time: parents, there's a lot more to napping than you think!

Avoid the cranky afternoon tantrums and enjoy an afternoon siesta...

Is it too early to be thinking about nap time? Maybe it's because I didn't have my coffee yet. I'm trying not to wake up and need the coffee first thing in the morning to function pleasantly. But then, I sit down to work, hear my dog snore and wish I could join in the sleepy chorus! If only nap time was mandatory for adults!

Parents, there's more to nap time than just a break from chasing energetic toddlers and a quiet house. The New York Times shares some interesting research: napping is a complex function of biology, cultural expectations and family dynamics!

Sounds complicated doesn't it? Let's put it this way, aside from being helpful for your peace of mind, it's a necessity for your growing child.

Happy snoozing!
